When we came up with the idea for Chase the Rising Sun, we created a vision.
Of course we were excited to take an extended vacation and travel to some of the most exotic corners of the earth, but we knew there had to be more than just luxury hotels and high-priced tours. We both agreed right from the start that we wanted our money to go directly into the communities we were visiting instead of supporting the multi-national corporations that own these luxury hotels and high-priced tour groups. The vision of this journey is to get out from behind the camera lens and bus window. It’s about connecting with other cultures, learning from them to gain a better understanding of their ways of life. We’re excited to try new things, to be uncomfortable and out of our element. We know that these experiences will help us to grow into more whole human beings.
